APPLICATIONS FOR NASHVILLE FASHION WEEK 2019 EMERGING DESIGNERS AND THE 2018 NASHVILLE FASHION FOWARD FUND AWARD ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

ARE YOU READY FOR THE RUNWAY?

Nashville Fashion Week is on the search for emerging designers to spotlight during our April 2019 event. Applicants must demonstrate creativity, quality and a broad appeal to a wide range of consumers. Select designers will have the opportunity to showcase their collection during Nashville Fashion Week 2019. All designers interested in showing their collections are encouraged to submit their application for review.

The deadline to submit emerging designer applications is 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, November 25. Emerging Designers will be notified in December and announced at an official Nashville Fashion Week event early next year. 

Emerging Designer Criteria:

• All emerging designers are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to those that live in or have connections to Nashville and/or Middle Tennessee

• Each collection must be original designs, debuting at Nashville Fashion Week
  

PLEASE NOTE: Nashville Fashion Week does not charge a submission fee to apply or participate. Designers selected are responsible for their own travel and related expenses, and for transporting their collection to Nashville — as well as all costs associated with designing/creating their looks, including shoes, accessories and music for their runway show. No age restrictions or specific experience is required. However, those under 18 will need parent/guardian permission to apply.

The NFF Fund gives an annual award to advance the career of select local talent with demonstrated experience in a fashion-related field each year and ensures that Nashville Fashion Week will impact the Nashville fashion community for many years to come.

Get ready...The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee will accept applications for the Nashville Fashion Forward Fund from September 6 - October 19. Professionals working in all aspects of the fashion industry with ties to middle Tennessee, from designers and photographers to stylists, models, hair and makeup artists, retail owners and bloggers, are encouraged to apply. Start thinking about the best way to present your case for an experiential professional development opportunity that will develop and enhance you, your career and ultimately our fashion community. The NFF Fund award is provided each year through proceeds from Nashville Fashion Week. 

Previous NFFF recipients include apparel designers Maria Silver, Eric Bornhop, Julianna Bass and Lauren Leonard Phelps; fashion photographer Brett Warren; accessory designer Ceri Hoover; and Elise Joseph, founder of Pennyweight and Goodwin. You could be next! 

The NFFF award recipient is selected by a committee of the Board of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and will be notified later this year. Detailed information will be announced on September 6th when the application goes live. #whynfw

NEW DATE! The Nashville Fashion Forward Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee invites you to celebrate and support the entrepreneurial spirit of Nashville’s creative arts and fashion community with Nashville Fashion Week and our partner OZ Arts Nashville at the Fifth Annual Nashville Fashion Forward Fund Gala on Saturday, January 19th at OZ Arts Nashville. Our originally proposed Gala and Fashion Forward Awards date was slated for fall, but we made the decision to move this event to January to avoid several industry-wide conflicts and accommodate some exciting new updates for our program. Save the date and please stay tuned for all of the details to come!

Nashville Fashion Week is excited to announce a full week of special shopping events beginning Tuesday, April 3 through Sunday, April 8 at a wide variety of Nashville-area retailers and businesses across the city. Shop Nashville Week is a city-wide celebration designed to encourage and support the local retail and maker community through promotions, in-store appearances and events that activate creative and interactive ways to drive consumers to Nashville businesses. NFW DESIGNER POP-UP SHOPS

Union Station Hotel will host Nashville Fashion Week Designer Pop-Up Shops on Thursday, April 5 and Saturday, April 7 from 12-4 p.m. in their lobby at 1001 Broadway. Meet and shop Nashville Fashion Week designers Any Old Iron, Black by Maria Silver, Lily Guilder and Ola Mai on Thursday, April 5. Nashville designer Truly Alvarenga and emerging designers Amanda Casarez, Barbara Bultman, Splashed by DKG and Yellowcake Shop will pop-up on Saturday, April 7.

Nashville Fashion Week special guest and Saturday night Finale Runway Show designer Anna Sui has also partnered with Third Man Records for the Anna Sui x Third Man Records Pop Up on Friday, April 6 - Sunday, April 8 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at 623 7th Avenue South. 

Step inside Jack White's Third Man Records to peruse a collaborative pop-up shop featuring the fashion and beauty creations of iconic New York fashion designer Anna Sui, alongside Third Man's usual lush vinyl selection. Meet and greet with Anna at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
